Powweb is a pretty popular web hosting
company on the internet thanks to its massive advertising campaign on
Hitbox. Powweb offers everything you would expect in the web hosting company
and for $7.77, you get all the common features. They also offer 5 GB
of traffic per and 1000 mb of storage space for this price, which is very
good.
Unlike most web hosting companies, they charge for MySQL, a fee of $10,
which seems unnecessary. On the brighter side, the offer the best value
in web hosting. With 150 GB of traffic per month and 1000 MB of space,
you won't find a better deal.
Reliability:
Powweb
has an average 99.7% uptime, which is only a fair record, certainly not
a good one. Their server does go down on occasional basis, similar to
the downtimes experienced with other web hosting companies. When we had
our website there for testing, our site was down for a day and they didn’t
inform the customer until one day later. Not good enough.
Data Center :
Powweb
claims that they have an OC-12 connection that is powered by Level3. As
you know, Level3’s network is one of the newest and also highly
robust networks on the internet today.

Powweb’s technical support is industry
standard, providing 5 days telephone support and 24 hours and 7 days a
week email support, and like most web hosting companies, they offer a
30 day money back guarantee if you are unsatisfied with their product.
They also have a Vbulletin message board that will allow you to ask presale
questions and support questions, so other users may help you.
Overall:
In general, Powweb is a mediocre
web hosting company. They have everything you would expect to get from
a web hosting company, but that is all. There are much better web hosting
companies out there, and I would try them out before selecting this heavily
marketed hosting.
